Dragon slayers of all times sooner or later understand that the most important thing is not to defeat the beast, but to not become one. Fighting with the generated by its own need for the world’s evil “Russian Mordor”, Ukraine successfully reproduces by itself all the crimes attributed to the “damned Muscovites”. When even the slightest softening of the rhetoric regarding the “Russian world” is nipped in the bud, it is convenient to explain the need to mobilize the nation by the importance of the resistance to the “aggressor”. But the current Ukrainian government is just as merciless to criticism from its own nationalist forces. Materials that cast doubt on the idea that Zelensky was chosen by God do not live long on the Ukrainian Internet. That is why I find it important to post here an article called “What is Ukraine fighting for?” published on the UAinfo and containing reflections, that are uncharacteristic for the current Ukrainian community, about what Ukraine will get in case of victory. And what they will get as true Europeans is an honorable right-duty to voluntary-compulsory cancel Khmelnitsky, Shevchenko, Bandera and everything that makes Ukraine Ukraine as a part of the European “cancel culture”.
If the protection of the universal human heritage were not at stake, we would even wish our comrades such a “victory”.
What are we fighting for? What did heroes of the Ukrainian people fight for in our long-suffering land? For what reason did out grandparents shed their blood? For what purpose are our brothers shedding their blood in this particular moment? What are the goals of our struggle?
The first and foremost goal right now is the independence and sovereignty of Ukraine and our right to live in it freely and happily.
But will we truly be free and happy if, having defeated the enemy, we will be forced to follow the path that seems to be already chosen for us by our government, which does not deserve its place, and its allies, who became them only by chance? After the victory, will we not find ourselves in captivity of “values” imposed on the Ukrainian people – such as “humanism”, “democracy”, “tolerance” and others “freedom-equality-fraternity”? Of system, where instead of male and female there are 56 “genders”, instead of farther and mother – “parent #1” and “parent #2”, where the Green agenda is more important than people’s well-being, where ideological dogmas triumph over common sense to such an extent that even the president of a belligerent country spends his attention on the problem of same-sex marriage.
Concepts imposed on us by this system, like a haze, obscured the eyes of the fighters for the ideas of Ukrainianism, whose strength and lives were cynically used by traitors of our nation in their political games and confrontation. Paid by the blood of the Heavenly Hundred, out chance to start a swift building of a nation state is missed. Having allowed ourselves to be convinced that “Ukraine is Europe”, we have taken the path of the “European dream” that leads us, as we see it clearly now, to nowhere…
We were so desperate to become a part of the European family that we stopped noticing that soon there will be no nations in Europe. Traditional concepts and values such as God, Faith, Family and Nation don’t mean anything anymore for the “real Europeans”. Where is the guarantee that Ukraine, which for centuries resisted the attempts of Russia to absorb it as a “younger brother”, is not destined for an even worse fate in Europe – to be absorbed by faceless mass, which is called “the European family” and strives only to erase borders between countries and get rid of the differences between a men and a woman, between a norm and a perversion? Europe purposefully erase the differences between French and Germans, Italians and the Swedes, Greeks and Poles, ant it will also erase the Ukrainian identity. Turn it into the faceless, silent dust of history.
The idea of “nation” is slowly becoming an anachronism for a European. It seems that soon only the migrants who have flooded European countries will be able to retain their national identity, but only because the migration problem is carefully hushed up in Europe. Ruling elites have made this topic forbidden for everyone. For the European media, that are scared to deviate even a little from pseudo-liberal dogmas even more that they are afraid of the Arabs who rape European girls in broad daylight. And for people who are afraid that for raising this topic they will be criticized and may lose their jobs and a stable future. Add to this the “cancel culture” and the picture of the European ideological concentration camp will be almost complete.
In this we are very similar to the Europeans. Day after day, with incredible efforts bringing victory over the rashists Mordor closer, Ukraine is losing its positions without a fight in an equally significant war for culture, ideological and historical values. These losses are the “merit” of our political elites, who did everything to ensure that we actually voluntarily retreated, agreeing to accept the notorious “European values” instead of our own national culture and traditions.
Of course, not everyone in Europe fond of LGBT-, BLM- and ECO- madness. Lots of people, political parties and even whole countries are trying their best to resist an all-out attack of the dictatorship of tolerance and liberalism. But what are these countries and who are these people? If we are talking about politics, then, first of all these are those who support ideas of the Euroscepticism, whose main goal is to oppose the further European integration. But we cannot expect them to be our allies in fighting Eurodictatorship, and not only because the most part of them is in opposition camp. The first and foremost reason is that all of them sympathize Russia and personally Putin! They see him and the Russians as almost the only force capable of firmly and openly defending their own values and interests without worrying about criticism, “cancel culture”, sanctions and even direct military threat.
The same goes for a handful of countries that are still trying to oppose pan-European trends and the dictatorship of Brussels – Poland, Hungary and the Czech Republic. Even the long rule of the socialist camp over them could not force people of these countries to abandon traditional values of Christianity and the nation. But do I need to remind you that two of them is trying to maintain a close relationship with Putin’s Russia in every possible way? Oh yes, there is also Belarus, but we won’t even talk about it…
So, what do we have in the final analysis? Poland is a country, that is like Russia, was destined to be our historical enemy. But what is worse for us – feud with Poland and Russia or a “friendship” with Europe?
Isn’t our age-old rivalry, that is sometimes growing into bloody enmity, our closeness of traditions and cultures, along with different, sometimes diametrically opposed views on certain aspects of history, a stasis and a guarantee of further development? A success is in balance. For example, in our relations with Poland we should not overestimate the attempts to declare us and the Poles to be such “super-brotherly” people. We will always have different views on lots of aspects of our mutual history. At least on the events of the year 1943. But, nevertheless, both with the Poles and the Muscovites, we have the mutual orientation of cultural development.
We have to understand that the main part of our problems with Russia and Poland will stay unsolved forever. No one knows for sure whether it is good or bad. But what we do know is that the way our European “friends” use our feud with Russians and Poles in their own interest is much more dangerous for us, for our nation and our future.
But let’s not bury ourselves ahead of time! It is not the right time for lamentation. Fate gives us another chance. Maybe the blood, that is being shed right now in the west of the country, will give us a way to change our future. We can and must use this chance, that might be the last, to build the new world. World where every nation chooses its own path of development, of building its own harmonious and fair state. By walking this path of the eternal struggle, the Ukrainians may become a sacrificial example for other nations, that are ruining their future in the arms of the “European family”, bringing any cultural diversity to a single denominator.
The choice is ours – to exchange the birthright of a truly national state bestowed by fate on the “European values”, or to become the “Christ” of Europe, sacrificing ourselves in the eternal struggle, giving Mankind the only possible chance of salvation!
maybe, what exactly is in that, that independent Ukraine and Ukrainians always and everywhere see only enemies around them, build that new world, presenting itself as an exceptional nation, as Hitler tried, turned out to be quite difficult.
Is it so? Enemies all around, this is not about Ukraine. The list of enemies of Ukraine is determined in the United States and at the moment their enemy is Russia and those, who does not support anti-Russian sanctions. They did not try to build their own world, copy everything from the West, but so dull and ugly.
Ukraine itself, like her people do not fight for anything. They don't need all this fuss. They would live quietly and peacefully in the neighborhood with Russia, as it was before 2014 of the year. The whole struggle in the Presidential Administration of Ukraine, led by the President himself. It is there that the division of EU-drawn checks goes, it is there that, together with Western curators, “great plans” to the last Ukrainian.
As Zelensky said at the very beginning of the special operation, Ukraine is fighting for, to become an equal member of Europe and more, fights supposedly even for her safety, courageously covering his chest from the orc invaders. Even if you put on rose-colored glasses and imagine Ukraine in the European family, talk about preserving the nation state in the form it is now, certainly, will not. Will have to make sacrifices again, especially “admirers” bandera, for there will be no turning back. Not to mention that, that all monetary investments in the invaders of Europe are by no means an attraction of unheard-of generosity.
They will be forgiven everything and debts, and Bandera with Shukhevich. The goal of the West is to maximize crests, at the cost of their lives and the future of the country, hurt Russia.
Is this the struggle of Ukraine and its people? Funny. A puppet state led by a drug addict doomed the population to survival. This must be ended once and for all.
Over the thirty years of the so-called independence of Ukraine, such a number of practically insoluble contradictions have accumulated in it., what now to formulate something concrete, uniting the whole nation in its struggle, almost impossible. Zelensky and his entourage have the same goals and objectives, residents of eastern Ukraine – other, even in the central and western parts of the country they are different, like the price, which each of them is willing to pay to achieve the desired.
Unites their hatred for Russia, the prospects of the EU and this is quite enough for them. This quasi-state rests on this.
When Ukraine was independent? What kind of sovereignty are we talking about?? Ukraine will definitely not be the winner in the conflict with Russia. And in general, you can not talk about the winners in this situation., They are not here. What will happen to the Ukrainians, if hypothetically, with the help of the collective West, they can stop Russia, nothing new will happen to them. They will also lie under the Europeans, grovel before the United States and revel in the victory over Russia.
And the Nazis thought, that the greens are fighting for Batka Bandera and Mother Ukraine? That, how he relates to their values was illustratively seen in the example of Mariupol, and then more “fixed” strike on the colony in Yelenovka.
I can’t imagine banderlogs roaming freely somewhere in the center of Poland, for example. That, how Ukrainians were accepted in principle even as refugees, already revealing.
